Turkey Bolognese

Easy turkey bolognese is great for a quick meal and delicious leftovers. This provides a hearty protein dish without being loaded with saturated fats. You can also make the turkey mix into balls and bake for 10-20 min for meatballs instead!

Ingredients

-1 egg

-2 Tbsp Tomato sauce

-1 Small/Medium Onion, chopped

-2 Cloves Garlic, finely minced

-1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano or italian seasoning

-1 tbsp of gluten free breakcrumbs

-1 Pound Ground Turkey

-Extra-Light Olive Oil

-Tomato Sauce, for serving (I like RAOS tomato sauce)

-Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions:

-mix turkey, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, onions, dried herbs, and 1-2 tbsp tomato sauce in bowl

-add oil to pan over medium to high heat

-make turkey balls and add to to pan till brown and then flip. I get a nice pan sear on each side (they don’t have to be cooked through)

-add 1-2 cups of tomato sauce and let simmer with lid on for 20+ minutes

-garnish with herbs like basil!

Serve over zucchini noodles, banza pasta, lentil pasta, roasted broccoli or any other high fiber veg!
